Warning

Front panel open/close fault. On models with a motorized front panel, the panel did not move to the position the control commanded.

Likely causes, most common first

  1. Defective reduction motor
  2. Malfunction or deterioration of the front panel mechanism
  3. Defective limit switch

What you can safely check yourself

  • Check nothing is physically blocking the front panel from opening or closing
  • Turn the system off at the breaker or disconnect switch and back on once, then watch whether the panel moves

When to call a technician

If the panel still will not move, the panel motor or limit switch needs replacing. Do not force the panel by hand.

A Daikin mini-split throwing this code repeatedly has a reason — clearing the code without fixing the cause just hides it.
