Search a furnace fault code and you mostly get paywalled answer sites, forum threads, and parts-store blog posts — rarely the actual code table from the manufacturer. HVAC Code Lookup fixes that one gap: it is a lookup table of 672 fault codes across 16 brands, where every meaning is taken from the manufacturer's own installation or service manual.

The citation rule

Every code page links the exact OEM document it came from and shows the date we last checked it. Sources in the current dataset were checked between 2026-08-25 and 2026-08-25. If a manual is revised, the code page is wrong until we re-check it — that is what the date is for. No forum posts, no answer sites, no AI summaries of either.

What this site is not

It is not a repair manual and it does not walk you through repairs. Code pages separate the handful of things a homeowner can safely check (filters, vents, switches, drain clogs) from diagnosis that requires a licensed technician, and nothing here will ever instruct bypassing a safety device. Gas appliances earn that caution.
