Likely causes, most common first

  1. Two remote controllers both set as 'main'
  2. One remote controller connected to 2 or more indoor units
  3. Repetition of refrigerant address
  4. Defective transmitting/receiving circuit of the indoor controller board or remote controller
  5. Noise has entered the remote controller transmission wire
