Outdoor power system error. The compressor shut down on overcurrent protection or startup-failure protection three times in a row within one minute of starting. Neither the indoor nor the outdoor unit will run.
Manual wording: “Outdoor power system - It consecutively occurs 3 times that the compressor stops for overcurrent protection or startup failure protection within 1 minute after startup.”

Likely causes, most common first
- Outdoor unit service (stop) valve closed or not fully open
- Compressor connecting wire loose, disconnected or reversed
- Defective compressor or inverter P.C. board
- Low supply voltage
What you can safely check yourself
- Check that the outdoor unit is clear of snow, ice, leaves and debris and has open air space around it
- Check that the breaker feeding the outdoor unit is on and not tripped
- Turn the system off at the breaker, wait one minute, and turn it back on once
When to call a technician
Stop valves, compressor wiring and inverter boards are all inside the outdoor unit under high voltage and refrigerant pressure. This one needs a technician.
A Mitsubishi Electric mini-split throwing this code repeatedly has a reason — clearing the code without fixing the cause just hides it.
