Fujitsu Mini-Split Code 63
Hard lockoutShown as: OPERATION lamp blinks 6 times, TIMER lamp blinks 3 times, ECONOMY lamp blinking continuously
Inverter error. The outdoor main board received an error report from the inverter (transistor) board that drives the compressor.
Manual wording: “Inverter Error - Error information received from the inverter PCB.”
Documented for: RGLX, RL2/RLS3/RLB/RLXB, RLF/RLF1 outdoor units
Likely causes, most common first
- Loose molex connectors on the inverter PCB
- Wiring fault between the power supply, filter PCB and transistor PCB
- Failed transistor PCB
- Failed main PCB or filter PCB
What you can safely check yourself
- Turn the power off at the outdoor disconnect and the breaker for about 5 minutes, then restore power
When to call a technician
The inverter section holds high-voltage DC capacitors that stay charged after power is removed. Never open the outdoor electrical cover; call a licensed technician.
A Fujitsu mini-split throwing this code repeatedly has a reason — clearing the code without fixing the cause just hides it.
