Fujitsu Mini-Split Code 35
WarningShown as: OPERATION lamp blinks 3 times, TIMER lamp blinks 5 times, ECONOMY lamp blinking continuously
Manual auto switch error. The MANUAL AUTO button on the indoor unit has read as pressed for 60 or more consecutive seconds.
Manual wording: “Manual Auto Switch Error - When the manual auto switch becomes on for 60 or more consecutive seconds.”
Documented for: RGLX, RL2/RLS3/RLB/RLXB wall mounted, RLF/RLF1 multi-zone
Likely causes, most common first
- The manual/auto button is physically stuck in, jammed by the front panel, or held down
- Failed manual auto switch
- Failed indoor controller PCB
What you can safely check yourself
- Make sure the front panel and filter access cover are fully closed and seated, so nothing is holding the MANUAL AUTO button in
- Look at the MANUAL AUTO button on the indoor unit and confirm it is not stuck in the pressed position
- Turn the power off at the breaker for about 5 minutes and back on
When to call a technician
If the button is not physically stuck, the switch or the control board is at fault and a technician must test it.
A Fujitsu mini-split throwing this code repeatedly has a reason — clearing the code without fixing the cause just hides it.
