Fujitsu Mini-Split Code 32
Hard lockoutShown as: OPERATION lamp blinks 3 times, TIMER lamp blinks 2 times, ECONOMY lamp blinking continuously
Indoor unit model information error / EEPROM access abnormal. The indoor board cannot read the memory chip that stores the unit's model data.
Manual wording: “EEPROM Error - Electronically erasable and programmable read only memory... -Check if the ground connection is proper.”
Documented for: RGLX, RL2/RLS3/RLB/RLXB wall mounted, RLF/RLF1 multi-zone
Likely causes, most common first
- Poor or missing ground connection at the unit
- Electrical noise or harmonics on the power circuit (for example a nearby neon fixture or other noisy load)
- Failed indoor controller PCB
What you can safely check yourself
- Turn the power off at the breaker for about 5 minutes and back on to see whether the code clears
When to call a technician
If the code returns, the indoor control board or its ground has to be checked and the board is usually replaced. That is a technician's job.
A Fujitsu mini-split throwing this code repeatedly has a reason — clearing the code without fixing the cause just hides it.
