Likely causes, most common first
- Flame sensed then lost, ten times
- Marginal flame signal or dirty flame sensor
- Low or unstable gas pressure
- Restricted venting causing the burner to be starved
What you can safely check yourself
- Change your filter if it is dirty
- Look for snow, ice, weeds, or grass blocking the furnace venting
- Reset once by turning the furnace switch off and back on

Repeated flame loss is a burner, flame sensor, gas pressure, or venting problem. Have a technician diagnose it rather than resetting repeatedly.
