Likely causes, most common first
- Blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker
- Manual disconnect switch turned OFF, door switch open or 24 volt wire improperly connected or loose
- Furnace electrical supply shared with other devices
- Integrated control module is non-functional
What you can safely check yourself
- Check the furnace breaker in the electrical panel and reset it once if it has tripped
- Check that the service switch on or near the furnace is on
- Check that the furnace door panel is fully seated - the door switch cuts power when the panel is off
When to call a technician
If the breaker, switch and door panel are fine and there is still no display, the transformer or control board needs a technician.
A Amana furnace throwing this code repeatedly has a reason — clearing the code without fixing the cause just hides it.
